my chag came up almost straight away first time I tried. The others are still a bit shy, but i dont spend enough time trying. I usually use prawns, but chaggy just barges everyone out the way so he can eat them all, so not the best thing to let others have a go with, lol.

Strawberries if you can hand feed them its the best way. The best is water melon, they just ravish it but once they have finished it remove the rind from the pond otherwise it will just rot away. As a treat I put 1 clove of garlic in about 1-4 days worth of good and keep shaking it around daily, just watch them ravish the food then but just treat as a treat until you use it all up or they will expect it all the time

Garlic is one my first remedies for encouraging fish to eat.I would recomend any FISH keeper to use it. I first used it to feed marine fish which were frightened to come out to feed because of their fear of being bullied by the territorial fish,It might not be a nice smell but the fish will ravish the food covered with it.

Hi Saph
I just use 1 little clove and put it whole into about a mugs worth of pellets put into a plastic bag, Keep turning the pellets for a day or 2 and then start feeding them, still turning them around in the bag to get even distribution in the bag. Then discard the garlic clove when you've used up the pellets.
